I haven't experimented with optical audio out, but I can manage a certain cable.
This week I've tried various methods:
Leaving the monitor unplugged while it generates static doesn't help much. The same applies to the scanner, etc.
It was producing static yesterday during file downloads on an external backup connected to the front of the PC. When I unplugged the mouse afterward, the static ceased.
Moved the GPU (it provided an instant frame rate boost).
Removed the dust.
Experiencing the same problems with or without DAC, so it’s not the cause.
Changed the DAC to optical. The outcome was surprising. The audio shifted—no longer static, but more digital. It happens occasionally. For instance, when hovering over many links, the sound becomes noticeable. Also, when the progress bar appears and data moves to another drive, the effect occurs.
Review the Accessibility settings.
Use WIN + I > System > Accessibility.
It might be that certain audio signals are active, such as voice captions or narration.
Investigate the Accessibility options to see if the new sound aligns with the mouse cursor position or movement.
There are numerous Accessibility configurations available.
Be careful and attentive.
Attempt to avoid using the 'Soundblaster X G6' DAC. Switch to the Powered Speakers' DAC and observe if any noise remains. Do this by connecting the optical cable from the motherboard's I/O straight to the Klipsch Digital Optical input. Make sure no other devices are linked to the speakers' inputs or outputs. Staying simple and digital will help minimize interference.
The issue with the optical cable for sound has been resolved. I'm also pleased to hear that my frame rate increased after williamjeremiah mentioned moving the GPU. Thanks everyone!
