I created my own PC a couple of months ago and still experienced some input lag in every game and on the desktop. Moving the mouse causes noticeable delays. Connecting a Logitech G203 didn’t fix the problem, so it’s not the mouse or the monitor/screen. I’m using an Intel i7 12700K with an RTX 3050, 16GB RAM, and an ASUS Prime Z690-P Wi-Fi motherboard. Please help me identify the issue.

do you have any usb 3 devices attached? ps: oh this is a wired mouse? then try to lower dpi, or make it higher... definitely heard that can fix stutters (some interference, similar to possible usb3 interference)

The settings were not affected by higher or lower DPI values. USB 3 refers to a specific type of connection standard, but your setup only includes a keyboard and mouse, which typically use USB 2.1 or USB 3.0 directly.

Yes you have your polling rate on max, This is a strange one i would make sure that your usb drivers are installed correctly and i would try every usb slot available on the back of the motherboard. Check device manager to see if all drivers are installed. I found this as well https://www.lifewire.com/fix-mouse-lag-i...10-5113449 Even if you have windows 11 it is based on windows 10 so these should still apply.

Only mouse lag, not keyboard issues, right? Would you like to test another mouse? Just because it runs on Xbox doesn't rule out problems between the mouse and PC. If a different mouse works, it suggests driver or software problems; if the same issues persist, it points to hardware or OS. Assuming this is your new PC, boot into UEFI BIOS and check the mouse performance there. If it's smooth, the problem might be in Windows settings. Also, verify acceleration and speed settings—perhaps they're configured to start slow and accelerate, which could be mistaken for lag.
