Mouse mat recommended for Logitech G502 Hero gaming mouse
I noticed windows update attempting to install razer drivers for a razer device even after uninstalling Synapse. There might have been conflicting device drivers at that time. I've since removed that one and ordered a cloth mat, hoping it will resolve the issue. I believe the problem could be related to both the mat and my lifting, though I'm still working on that.
Simple way to check: gently raise your mouse over the Icemat by 1-2 cm and move it while keeping it lifted. With a proper setup (good mouse and suitable mat), the cursor should stay stationary. If it drifts, it might be due to a poor mouse or an unsuitable surface.
By the way, if you can't locate a flat 100 cm2 area on your desk for testing, it's best to replace it.
Ironically, after removing the "Razer device" from the device manager, it's stopped happening.
Mismatched pointer drivers?
And no, my desk is completely cluttered with devices—like MIDI controllers and hardware—and the exposed parts aren't smooth or dull; they're too shiny for my taste. I really need a new desk.
Problem resolved, was the surface, the mouse mat came, think it was 6 quid, actually just covers the icemat, as it's really thin, but the mouse is tracking better and no spazzing of any kind.
Thanks for all advice
Coincidence with the driver removal too ? Who knows, but the problem is solved.
