Mouse functionality is not supported on motherboard USB ports
Hi
The mouse doesn't function properly on the motherboard USB ports unless I plug it in again every time I start my PC.
I recall encountering a similar issue before and attempted some fixes I'd tried earlier, but they didn't resolve the problem.
Details of the situation:
Mouse model: Gigabyte GM-M6900
Keyboard works fine on all ports
Mouse operates correctly on other computers
Other mice from various brands function normally
Another mouse from the same brand and model also works
Front case USB ports are functional
Driver reinstallation didn't help
Selective suspend was disabled but didn't work
Restore point was applied but failed
Mouse doesn't respond in BIOS or safe mode
Mobo: ASUS Z390-E
CPU: Intel i9-9900K
GPU: RTX 2080TI 11GB
RAM: 16GB DDR4 3200mhz
Mouse: Gigabyte GM-M6900
Finally identified the cause. The mouse fails to work after a cold boot when ErP is enabled in S4+S5 mode, even though it functioned properly before. The problem resolves when ErP is disabled or restricted to S5 mode. Please let me know if this assists anyone experiencing the same issue.
I thought I have the latest bios, but it turns out there is a new one released in November. ver. 2004
I did update and nothing has changed, but.. I got an notification on the desktop that I have to enable Asus services, and as soon as I did that, it magically worked.
I don't know how is that affected the mouse!, but it looks like it's a bug or something ?
Thanks buddy.
