Mouse fails to function during Linux startup.
Hello, I'm trying to set up Linux on my system after seeing concerns about Microsoft, but I'm having trouble with my main mouse not working in Linux while it functions in Windows. I've tested several mice without success. Here are my specs: AMD FX 8350 at stock, MSI 970 Gaming motherboard, 16 GB Crucial Ballistix Sport, and an EVGA gtx 970 at stock. I've tried different Ubuntu and Manjaro flavors, but none of the mice worked. Any suggestions? Thanks!
why you prefer linux over microsoft just because of rumors? You got it right? Linux doesn’t host many games. And what device do you have? Android? Let’s stick with Windows then—since Google leaks and gather more data than any other firm, what you search for is risky. Every search brings up companies worse than Microsoft, yet people keep using them because Microsoft has been exposed to similar issues on a larger scale. Why is that? There’s nothing stealing from you that could prove your innocence or expose your secrets. No matter the OS, your ISP tracks everything online—from what you watch to the games you play or YouTube channels you follow. If you’re worried about someone misusing your info or finding out your private stuff, your ISP is the biggest concern. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1kGMCfb2xw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgKJMsJ-6XU. Just stop there—shady behavior stops there. You can still enjoy your games. As for Linux, its game support is pretty poor. But hey, try using a PS2 USB adapter for your mouse.
Hello! It's not clear what you're asking about mice. I recall some Gigabyte mice had issues with Linux a while back, but I currently own a working Gigabyte mouse and am using Ubuntu 16.04. Maybe you'd like to try another port or share your own experience?
Look deeper into the bios, you should find a basic mouse setting there. Adjusting it to the simpler option should resolve the issue. If that doesn’t work, let me know.
I’d like to run Ubuntu Mate for development needs. It seems there’s no setting for an advanced mouse mode. I’ll attempt disabling the USB 3 controller and let you know the outcome.
