It could be due to an incorrect pointer placement. There are some confusing options that cause the cursor to move quicker than your mouse, which hurts performance in games and aiming. Disabling these settings might help. Try it and notice the difference.

I'm not sure what game you're playing, but it might help to enable Windows Program Compatibility and adjust the game to match your previous operating system's settings. The problems with compatibility in older games can be quite puzzling.

I also replaced the motherboard's chipset during the installation. Did you install it using a CD or from the website? The chipset listed on the site is more recent, and you can view it here: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X57...er-chipset
