Hey. I've been facing this problem for some time, where my mouse and keyboard occasionally freeze, especially during gaming sessions, streaming on Discord, or when using my webcam. The issue seems to appear more often than before. It doesn't happen on my Ubuntu system, and I don't experience it with my Ryzen 5700G integrated graphics. However, it did occur on an older AM4 board and with my previous RTX 2070 Super graphics card. I'm not sure if it's related to my current setup. After searching online, I've found several similar reports but no solutions or answers.

I've tried the following steps:
- Changed power settings in Control Panel to disable USB selective suspend
- Set "Allow this USB device to be turned off to save power" to disabled in Device Manager
- Switched to different USB ports (USB 2.0, 3.1, and 3.2 SuperSpeed)
- Used a different GPU (2070 Super)
- Changed the motherboard
- Adjusted various USB BIOS settings (though I don't recall them)
- Reset the BIOS via CMOS and BIOS option
- Updated the BIOS to the latest version
- Installed AMD chipset drivers

It doesn't seem to work in Safe Mode, but I can't play games there either. It's challenging to reproduce the freezes without starting a game and hoping for a fix. In my videos, I capture both keyboard and mouse freezing, but there are no USB disconnect sounds. The first video I recorded at 480p shows more consistent freezing, especially when typing. The second is higher quality but less frequent.

I'm unsure how to reliably trigger the freezes without just launching a game. My details are:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700G
- Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaming WIFI II
- RAM: 48GB DDR4 @ 2133MHz
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti
- Power Supply: Corsair RM750e (750W)
- OS: Windows 11 24H2
- Mouse: Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT
- Keyboard: Corsair K95

If you have any more information, let me know.

Hello friend, here are some suggestions you might consider:
- Try different keyboards and/or mice
- Update firmware using ICUE for the keyboard and G-Hub for the mouse
- Have you changed GPUs regularly? If yes, outdated drivers might be causing issues—download the latest GPU driver for a clean setup
- Use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to remove corrupted drivers
It seems some drivers could be damaged, but these steps are straightforward and low risk. Let me know if you try anything! Good luck!

Disable the iGPU fully. If not, leave it off.

Your profile includes settings to turn off GPU Translation Cache, enable IGFX Multi-monitor support, and choose a primary GPU device. All are currently disabled or assigned to your specific GPU. The issue persists.

Updated firmware using iCUE and GHub, results were identical. Installed iCUE but didn<|pad|> to feel unnecessary—it doesn’t affect performance. Re-installed Windows and updated drivers, yet the problem persists. I haven’t tested a different keyboard or mouse yet; I’ll check another one if possible, but both seem to freeze independently.

Using another device or input method doesn't change the issue.

Are you referring to firmware or chipset drivers? This seems to relate to chipset drivers, BIOS, or hard drive issues. I’m not sure why some drives include that, maybe a chipset issue is involved.

I considered switching to AM5 but decided against it because it would require a new motherboard, CPU, or RAM. I’ll try Windows 10 instead, just in case it’s related to the operating system, but I know I can’t stick with Windows 10 forever.

Windows 10 and the new W11 didn't resolve the problem, it was the same issue in both installations.

Ok, you also need to disable it in windows -- completely, if possible. iGPU "OFF". And what I was also trying to get at, it could be your hard drive(s), ie need full model names and specs of *all* hard drives that are connected to the computer?
