The system instructions indicate specific sharing rules between M.2 devices. When M.2_1 uses SATA mode, SATA6G_2 is blocked from sharing bandwidth with PCIEX16_3. If M.2_2 operates in X4 mode, PCIEX16_3 becomes unavailable. In X2 mode, PCIEX16_3 switches to X1 mode. M.2_3 shares bandwidth with SATA6G_56, but if it gets populated, that sharing is disabled. Place your drive where these rules don’t conflict, and ensure it doesn’t interfere with your GPU or other drives.

Place it in m.2_2. There are no disabled SATA slots, and you aren’t using the bottom PCIe port.

I choose M.2_1 since a SATA drive is present on SATA6G_2. Connect it to another SATA port on MB. Note: later adjustment was made to place M.2_3 in the lower part of the motherboard, which would cause more heat on the SSD.
