Hey there! I recently assembled my first PC with the following components: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, Crucial Ballistix Black 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3600 CL16, Kingston A2000, M.2 500GB, Arctic Freezer 34, ASUS TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS (Wi-Fi), Seagate BarraCuda 3.5", 2TB, SilentiumPC Regnum RG6V EVO TG ARGB, TG, Seasonic Focus Gold 750 (750W), ASUS GeForce GT710-SL-1GD5, and a GPU that’s currently at 4,569GHz allcore at 78°C. The boost settings are quite high—precision overdrive was off at 61°C with default, but when I turned it off in Ryzen Master it jumped to 4,623GHz at 53.7°C with precision overdrive enabled.

Regarding the screws, one didn’t align properly with the motherboard standoff and is now bent. I’m worried it might affect the board. Should I take it out and let the others stay in place? Also, my CPU reaches 4,569GHz allcore at 78°C. I see that when I disable simultaneous multithreading in Ryzen Master, it drops to 4,623GHz at 53.7°C with precision overdrive on. Should I consider a cooler like the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 or SilentiumPC Navis RGB 280 AiO?

They likely used an SSD screw with a fine thread. Motherboards generally require #6-32 screws with a coarser thread (and a bigger hex head). It would be best to replace it with the correct screws for a secure installation. 78C works well. For quieter performance, consider a better cooler.

You installed the screws correctly, so it’s best to remove them from the PC.

Consider upgrading if you need more performance or features.

The current load temperature isn't a cause for concern. For a more adaptable temperature setting, consider using a liquid cooler—though I wouldn't label it essential.

If the screw doesn’t sit properly and isn’t fully inserted, the board won’t stay secure. Although other screws seem to be in place, this situation remains risky. It’s not advisable, but if you’re certain it’s the correct screw, removing it and reinserting it correctly would be a better approach.
