Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Recent updates from the past ten years support 4K at 60Hz, but we require more than just a simple question in one line.
Are you seeking a workaround without a dedicated GPU (depending solely on the iGPU) or are you inquiring about the best motherboard and CPU pairing for a discrete GPU capable of 4K resolution at 144Hz?
Moved thread from Motherboards to Systems.

am5 boards such as the chipset 870e featuring 4k 120hz performance with a 7000 to 9000 apu, varying based on motherboard manufacturers' specifications. Over USB4 and DisplayPort video outputs, achieving a maximum resolution of 3840x2160 at 240 Hz is possible.

A solid CPU paired with a discrete GPU capable of 4K at 120Hz works well, but the exact board depends on your specific needs. Consider matching socket compatibility and power delivery requirements.

4K 120hz, top value for the price, suitable for what you need given your budget of over $1000 for a strong GPU.
9800X3D, 14700K, 285K, etc.

Are you looking for just a 4k120hz output or do you plan to play games, edit videos, or handle other tasks? If your main goal is to get a 4k120hz display at the lowest cost, a Ryzen 5600G and a B550 motherboard will work perfectly.
