It might be that the Intel SATA controller isn't working properly—perhaps it's turned off or failed completely. Or there could be a support problem affecting it. I'm not sure for certain.

I solved it! Turned off the Marvell ports in the BIOS, changed the drives to the other six ports, and everything is functioning perfectly now.

It seems strange, there shouldn't be any reason they can't run at the same time.
