Hi there, welcome to the forum. I know this might not be the best spot, but I’m here to share my thoughts. I’m currently updating an old MAC 1.1 case for an ATX motherboard (MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI). The fit is tighter than I expected, and the board almost touches the case sides on both the bottom and top. I’m curious if this could cause any problems or issues down the line. Thanks!

If the object is made of a conductive material such as metal, it poses a risk. Otherwise, it's safe.

It shouldn't be the case, the edges of the motherboard need to be grounded or non-conductive, which means the case contact shouldn't be a big issue. To ease concerns, you can place some electrical tape between the board and the case; this should work fine.

Thanks for the prompt replies—I'm glad to hear it! It's comforting to know others feel the same. I'll just include a bit of electrical tape for extra reassurance.
