Motherboard displays fan speeds at zero or minimal RPM.
Hello everyone! I've been experiencing an issue where my case fans display 0 RPM even though they are actually spinning. Before this started, everything was working perfectly and showing the correct speed. The fans I use are the DEEP COOL RF120M, paired with the DEEP COOL FH-4 hub. I've tried fixing it by unplugging and replugging everything, updating the BIOS to the latest version, but nothing helped. I'm reaching out for advice since I don't have any other solutions. My system specs are: CPU - Intel Core i3-10100 @ 3.6 GHz, Quad-Core, RAM - Kingston FURY 8 GB (2x4 GB), DDR4-2666 CL16, Storage - Crucial P2 500 GB M.2-2280 NVMe, Power Supply - Cooler Master MWE Bronze V2 550W, Bronze Certified, and a Deepcool RF120M 56.5 CFM 120mm fan set (5-pack).
Usually there is one fan port supplying rpm back to the motherboard. Probably the fan 1 port if I had to guess. Is it connected? If yes try another fan on port 1. You can check if it is a hub issue by connecting a fan directly to the motherboard without the hub and check if the motherboard gets a signal.
The device cannot identify speed when it falls below a specific limit. Increase the speed and check for detection.
