I’m planning to build a setup for video editing using the Ryzen 7 3800X. I’m considering a motherboard and need recommendations, keeping my budget near $350. Should I go with an x570 chipset?

It doesn't have to be an X570; a solid B450 would work perfectly.

If you have a bit more money, consider the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master. For a tighter budget, the ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming X is also a solid choice.

The MSI MEG X570 Ace motherboard appears professional on Amazon, priced near £330. I’m a strong supporter of MSI products, and if I were to rebuild this setup again, I’d choose the MSI board instead of the ASUS model I currently own.

The ASUS TUF Gaming X570 performs well. You can get the ASUS Crosshair VII if you're willing to spend.

CPU compatible with 3700x or higher speeds. Motherboard requirements depend on your specific setup.

Confirms it works well. It features only four SATA ports, which isn't a major issue for me, but might matter for video editing. The MSI MEG Unify is essentially the same board but without RGB and at a lower cost.
