I'm assembling a PC this summer with an Intel Core i5-6600K processor. Do I require a Z87 or something else, and can I use any other motherboard chip for overclocking? Thanks.

The Z170 serves as the chipset for the CPU. The Z87 targets the earlier two generations of Intel processors.
