The motherboard sound is repeatedly failing to play. (Model listed in the signature) But the HDMI audio through the GTX 1050 works perfectly... Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Tried another driver; if it's skipping in the video, it might be a corrupted codec.

If the problem seems to stem from a driver issue, the audio chip name (Realtek ® ALC887 codec; refer to the link) is the key detail.
