Hey everyone, curious about which NFS version was most popular. From least to most favorite, I’m trying to figure this out as I plan to stream all the street racing games in Need For Speed 14 days before the NFS reboot on PC. It’s a bit of a celebration!

Absolutely, one of the most sought-after names in 2005.

For me, the top picks were Underground, Most Wanted, and Carbon. The lowest ratings were Undercover and The Run.

NFS:MW (2005) stands out as my top NFS experience. It ranks among the five games I enjoy most. While I haven’t played many, the latest version left me quite underwhelmed. The support staff seem completely off, the races are either overly tough (what with AI in old Volvos beating my supercharged GTR?) or too easy (never failed a drift train even without drifting), etc. I really dislike how consistently it rains and it’s nighttime—such terrible driving conditions. Seriously, what were they thinking? There’s no “sunset” option; it only appears in specific areas. I can’t force it to show where I’m going, so I’m just having a great time experimenting with the decals and paints. The community has also improved noticeably with the recent update. I created a “riced” civic. The story says it was owned by a 17-year-old who inherited it from his parents. He had only a small can of red paint, so the car ended up pinkish. He used duck tape for white racing stripes but couldn’t reach them on the roof. He also didn’t consider the license plate on the back, causing a mismatch between front and rear. He bought two flame decals on the right side, but the left one was flipped. Some cool bumper stickers... The mirrors on the hood look really clumsy. A huge rear wing (since it’s a civic) the loudest exhaust and the cheapest drift gear I could find—this is better than my GTR, honestly.

The first NFS game I tried was most wanted 2005. It was really impressive. After that, I became more interested in NFS. Undercover wasn't great. The distant scenes and buildings popped up unexpectedly, which is frustrating. Rival was a poor experience, as was The Run. The latest version has average reviews. Customizing the cars seemed uninspired. Players on console found some cars had many mod options, while others didn’t. The marketing team only highlighted cars with extensive customization. Overall, it felt sloppy—like the developers didn’t prioritize adding mod support for other vehicles. Imagine you bought a big basket of dinosaur eggs, expecting tons of dinosaurs, but instead got four dinosaurs and sixteen chickens. How would you feel?
