I've already tried it, but it doesn't seem to help much. I'm planning to lower my BIOS settings further and check for driver solutions since this seems too unpredictable to be a hardware problem. Any ideas or fixes you have would be greatly appreciated.
I've moved down to F6 and then back up to F11, but nothing seemed different. The key point is that when I went up to F11, two of my SSDs vanished from the BIOS—including the bootable one—while my system was still fully working. As soon as they were recognized, performance dropped significantly and the system didn’t run properly. (The SSDs are new and tested.) Could it be related to how windows load? If so, what steps should I take to debug drivers or the registry? I’m not very familiar with safe mode and managing drivers, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
What motivates you and which connections are active? Test by disconnecting everything except the primary system drive to determine if the problem resolves.
Samsung 870 EVO SATA SSD 1TB (2 units, one non-EVO) Samsung 870 EVO SATA SSD 4TB I installed gradually, reinstalled after adding the second 1TB to test if it resolved the problem, and recently added the 4TB. Previously, I had other drives and faced the same issue. Currently, I boot into BIOS smoothly with no lag, though only the 4TB is detected—still a very new drive. Back then, with just a system drive, I experienced this problem. Edit: Missed the ports—they’re on ports 3, 4TB port 4, and 5TB port 5. Though I swapped them and didn’t notice any change.
I’m running low on ideas. A failing drive can lead to odd problems, but it seems you’ve checked multiple drives and the problem keeps happening. Sometimes SATA ports might be faulty or connected through a third-party controller that isn’t functioning properly (your setup shouldn’t have this issue). I’m at a loss.
