the most affordable are grey keys that say "eh" in terms of ethics. but since those are too costly, all i can do is wait for a steam sale to drop.

Yeah... wait for the Steam sales...there are times when the price fell to around Rs 500 for PUGB. Just keep it on your wishlist and you'll get the email when the price drops.

PUBG rarely sees significant price reductions. It typically drops to about half its original cost twice a year, mainly during the summer and around holidays like Christmas. In 2019, it fell twice in the summer, with prices reaching as low as $11.99 to $14.99. GreenManGaming reached its lowest point at $11.99 during this period, and a 15% discount code helped bring it down to $10.19. It's uncertain if this will happen again, but it remains a strong possibility for the future. Steam is expected to offer discounts soon, though the timing is unclear.

It’s already reducing the player base, so get it now rather than waiting. Not because it’s a $60 title, anyway.

If you're looking for the best deals, I've heard the Lite version is free; you can also use an Android emulator and play that one, which is also free.
