Yes, and no. It really depends on the game and your other equipment. Generally, extra RAM doesn't greatly improve visual effects; the GPU handles that. If a game needs more memory than available, additional RAM could let you run it or make it smoother. Certain systems can boost frame rates with faster RAM types like AMD Ryzen.
