Monitoring Service for System Guard Runtime Broker Component
Hi everyone, Microsoft launched the System Guard Runtime Monitor Broker Service for security, though it consumes a lot of RAM—146MB. It’s way too much for my system. My antivirus (Kaspersky Total), Chrome, and basic startup apps all need that amount. It’s causing my RAM usage to jump to 75%, which is bad for performance. My AV and browser aren’t helping either. I’ve tried contacting Microsoft support and Google, but they didn’t provide a solution. Any suggestions or workarounds would be appreciated. Thanks!
In addition to all other software such as Chrome and Kaspersky, I limited the startup programs to the basics.
The issue centers on the app consuming a significant portion of available memory. Based on the information provided, it appears the 146MB file is utilizing approximately 75% of your 16GB RAM, which could lead to performance issues or system instability. This high usage might be due to intensive background processes, large data handling, or inefficient resource management within the application.
Well? For a lightweight OS with minimal RAM usage, a light Linux distribution works well. Most of them stay under 300MB, even with 75% utilization. You still have plenty left—sometimes I use half of my 24GB. My system remains fast and responsive that way. Only when all RAM is used does it start relying on the pagefile, which can slow things down.
You consume excessive memory on other programs; close all unnecessary applications to free up RAM.
