Hello everyone. My issues began after installing the M.2 drive on my PC. Everything seemed fine before, so I’m not sure it’s connected to the problem, but it’s worth noting. Currently, the computer shows audio as going out, yet no sound comes through the headphones. The fixes I attempted included restarting the system, removing and reinserting the headset, changing the headset itself, updating drivers for Realtek, GPU, and motherboard audio, downloading the latest Windows 10 update (which instead brought in Windows 11), and adjusting audio settings via Device Manager. At this stage, I suspect my sound card might be faulty. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. EDIT: It’s funny that my name adds to the irony, but thanks for your help.

Have you transferred your windows installation to a new drive, or are you simply incorporating it into your system for additional space?

No, just added more space. At first I checked the BIOS to see if it was active, and only after that did I format it.

Ensure you're using the correct port with a headset. Verify your microphone also fits the mini jack. On many motherboards, the wiring follows this pattern: use lineout for the headset. If issues persist, open Device Manager, remove the device, and look under "Uninstall drivers" before trying again.

Your headset has two jacks labeled green and pink, both plugged into the green and pink outlets on the motherboard. For the second part, you need to decide which device to remove—your Windows settings are in Lithuanian, so "Sound input and output" and "Sound, video and game" refer to the relevant sections.
