Hello everyone, because of my nostalgia I chose to replay GTA SA, but it feels a bit dated and I think it could use a refresh. I’d like to add some flair. Maybe someone knows which mod is best—because I’ve searched through GTA inside and found a ton of them—like Enb, Marty McFly, and many others. Do they really differ much? If so, which Enb series should I pick? Thanks in advance!

We have plenty of them here; I haven’t played much lately. If I’m right, I just used top-notch textures that you need to recreate the look (you should find some guides—it’s pretty straightforward). For better HUDs and cool add-ons, I relied on CLEO. When it comes back to SA, single-player feels dull, so I switched to San Andreas Multiplayer. It’s a mod with tons of active servers—ranging from deathmatch to deep roleplaying—and it’s super fun, bringing new players into the mix.

You asked about the modding platform you used—GTA Garage, GTA Inside, or another site.

I think version 0.28 is correct, though it’s not an ENB. San Andreas multiplayer isn’t great, but MTA:SA seems better based on what I’ve played.

Gta Inside seems to have some unique aspects compared to MTA, with features I appreciate and others I find less appealing. The interface feels more contemporary, though locating a solid RP server has been challenging. Project LA was once a top choice, but its scripting is quite outdated and the development pace has slowed down. When I played regularly, I often had to craft my own scripts and build a complete server within a few months. The economy felt believable, drug production and use were realistic, and most buildings had custom interiors. However, without a populated server, sessions quickly became monotonous. Thanks for bringing this up.
