To unlock the best experience in Skyrim, you must use SkyUI for the Mod Configuration Menu. A mod named SkyUIAway offers this functionality while preserving the original UI components. For those seeking a fresh look, the Natural Lighting & Vivid Atmospherics ENB is a recent addition that introduces new weather effects.
I enjoyed a fairly standard experience throughout. This is the kind I’d choose if I had to pick one. It’s been a while since I played—since its release.
SkyUI 5's crafting interface is tough to navigate, especially with modded armor sets. I swapped in some .swf files from my skyUI 4 project to fix it, and switched the MCM setting to STFU about the errors. After a few hours, everything worked smoothly. I also appreciate the slot column created by LoversLab on their site.
I appreciate the SkyUI crafting interface, especially the search function. However, the armor slot mod is essential for users who heavily customize their gear.
Really? Should we think you have very few armor mods or don’t spend much time crafting at the forge? I had to skip UI 5’s crafting options because customizing my party felt confusing. The menu split into two alphabetical sections—one showing all raw materials and the other highlighting missing items—made it hard to navigate, especially when assembling armor sets. It was frustrating overall. Still, tempering large items in one go is quicker in SkyUI 5, though it doesn’t match the challenge of crafting. In SkyUI 4, the search function still works if I recall the names of my armors and weapons, and most pieces follow a consistent naming system. Each situation is different.
