It’s possible to enhance your experience with Witcher 3, but be mindful of performance. Adding mods like graphics upgrades, map zoom adjustments, and item icons via the Nexus manager can improve visuals and navigation. However, excessive changes might strain your system or cause compatibility issues. Test them gradually to avoid disruptions.
It shouldn't have worked, I played Skyrim for 15 hours and then installed a lot of texture mods, quests, items, and map changes afterward. Despite the effort, it didn't improve the game at all but made it better somehow.
Typically updating mods isn't an issue. Problems arise when you delete mods and save games on them.
It relies on whether the mods include scripts. For graphics-only enhancements, Super Turbo Lighting by Essenthy Onigami is a good choice—it avoids scripts and only affects the lighting engine, so deleting it shouldn't impact your game. I tried installing and removing various mods during my session, and none caused issues. If it was an item-based mod, the relevant item would just vanish from my inventory or equipment list.
