I recently switched to a Wi-Fi 6 router, which appeared to operate more efficiently due to its mesh architecture. Still, I encountered some odd problems with my Steam link and extended data transfers. Like before, active cooling proved necessary. I assumed they wouldn’t overheat, but I added thermal epoxy to the heat sinks on the Ethernet transformers. Everything reassembled four years ago, back then. Check out these old photos. Curious, Linus even popped up in a Jeep forum thread. The cable modems were always the standout change, since they eliminated slowdowns during long Steam downloads after installing the fans.
