Hey, I'm trying to find folks with experience in Minecraft mods, especially for version 1.14.
The first thing I need is advice on the launcher to use.
I’m currently on Twitch because it’s simple to add mods and it’s convenient.
But I’ve heard about MultiMC (this is important for my next question) – I don’t know how to set it up.
Is it okay to use Twitch for this?

The second thing is the main concern: for those familiar with 1.14, there are many mods using the Fabric API.
I’m looking for people who can clarify if I can combine normal mods with Fabric ones.
Also, I’m not sure about using Fabric mods on the default client – yes, I can play on older versions and have great mods, but I prefer the latest version.
Since I haven’t played original Minecraft in a while and there are many new features, I’d like to try them out.
Please let me know or DM if you have any ideas. Thanks!

twitch supports pre-made modpacks (imo).
multimc is used for generating modpacks (imo).
twitch works well.

When you refer to creating, it means simply installing pre-made mods.
Everything I intend to do involves adding a few mods, not more than 20 or 30.

starting from nothing is challenging, particularly with a well-balanced modpack, but you handle it.

They don't create them from scratch, they just use curseforge mods.

i don't understand modern minecraft modding, but adding mods to an existing balanced modpack could likely ruin the experience the creator designed. there might be problems like conflicting ids or even crashes and world corruption.
ymmv, both are fine for adding mods to whatever, i think i'm just confusing you more

I mainly use Twitch to look for mods to simplify downloading and installing them. Twitch controls CurseForge, so most Curse mods are available in the Twitch launcher (though there might be a few exceptions). I prefer sticking with version 1.12.2 because it offers more mods than 1.14 (as far as I know), but the choice is yours.

This was the main reason I mentioned that "I Know 1.12 has more mods, BUT I like the new things in 1.14."

Hi, developer of Fabric here.
Adding forum accounts to your large collection is straightforward.
The Twitch launcher currently doesn't support Fabric—it only works with modpacks built around Forge. MultiMC offers more flexibility, but the Fabric wiki should provide instructions for setting up a Fabric instance. You might also get better help through the Fabric community channels like Discord or IRC.
