If you're unfamiliar with NV mods, it could be challenging to assist you. Just to clarify, when I start New Vegas, it often freezes at the Obsidian loading screen. Sometimes it progresses further and displays DLC or mod notifications, which is atypical. I've used FNVEdit several times to resolve every critical issue. I've also tried running the game without any mods, but it still crashes. After reinstalling New Vegas and checking the game cache multiple times, my experience remained stable until I removed both the 'Niner Companion' and 'Delilah Companion' mods. I chose to do this because Niner's design was overwhelmingly negative, and I preferred using only Willow. One of the fatal errors stemmed from a plugin for Fallout Character Overhaul affecting both Niner and Delilah. I disabled those plugins via the 'Plugins' section. I'm uncertain whether reinstalling the mods or simply disabling them is the better approach. Please help me, and thank you for reading!
