I purchased my prebuilt in November. It performed exceptionally at first, often exceeding 200 fps on titles like MW2, etc. Now its performance has plummeted, and I can barely sustain 60 fps even with the lowest graphics settings. These problems affect every game, not just MW2. I’ve reset my PC to try and recover, but it didn’t help. Have you seen any solutions? I’ve checked all the basic fixes and tried nearly every workaround I found on YouTube, but nothing worked. Please let me know your thoughts—I’ve listed my specs below if that would be useful.

Hey. Your message lacks enough details for clear assistance. Consider running a basic check to identify any issues. Keep in mind this involves some technical knowledge. You might want to verify if you accidentally modified your system settings and reset them if needed. Ensure your Windows isn’t in power-saving mode, and remove unnecessary programs like antivirus or unused tools. Use HWinfo to monitor performance while playing games and capture screenshots for review. If problems persist, hardware faults could be the cause—provide more info before seeking help. Otherwise, take your PC to a professional for further diagnosis.

Consider using a shotgun search method to locate the data, given the variety of possibilities with the information you provided. Run HWINFO64 in sensors-only mode and configure it to save the output to a file (the icon with a file and plus sign). Spend 5-10 minutes playing MW3 or similar, then submit the recorded file. This should capture all sensor readings and help identify issues like high temperatures, low frequencies, GPU underutilization, etc.

Hey, thanks for your reply. I’m sorry for not giving enough details up front, since I wasn’t sure what information was needed so I was holding off until people could ask more questions. Regarding bloatware, viruses, BIOS: I completely reset my PC to its factory settings, started fresh, and upgraded it with high-performance settings, turned off overlays, optimized with Nvidia—yet nothing changed. The FPS remained the same as before after wiping the system. I’ll try recording data using HWINFO right now so everyone can see what happened.

There isn't a true factory reset for PCs. You might be thinking of a feature in some prebuilt systems that restores your Windows to a previous state and clears certain data. To achieve this, you'll need to manually reset the BIOS to its default settings and wipe your drivers before starting a fresh installation. If any malware or unwanted files were present, they should still be removed. Consider sharing the HWinfo record here so others can assist more effectively.

It seems I wasn't aware of the basics. For BIOS and driver resets, I tried both myself but didn't succeed. I've uploaded the HWinfo in case it helps anyone identify the problem.

It's late now and I need to wake up early tomorrow, so I can't examine things closely. The CPU seems to be overheating at 115°C and is experiencing severe thermal throttling. You should check the cooling system, possibly the fan, or if it's an all-in-one unit, the pump might have failed. Also, this program helps monitor everything and provides sensor graphs: https://www.hwinfo.com/forum/threads/log...lable.802/

It's good to hear you're thinking about it. The issue might be linked to cleaning, but since you don't clean often, giving it a try could help. Let me know if you'd like more details!
