There are some issues with my new setup. The AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is running at 3.6 GHz, but the memory isn’t working smoothly. It freezes during boot and only starts up after a restart. I’ve tried setting the DOCP to 3600 and the FClock to 1800, but it still doesn’t load properly. The memory tests with MemTest86 came back clean. Since everything is new, I’m unsure if the problem is with the processor or the motherboard. I need a way to check either component without replacing parts.

Adjust the BIOS to version 1.1 Dram 1.35 and test with a 3600 cycle. Run memtest86 and OCCT to ensure stability. Remove any overclocking (except XFR) to prevent FCLK issues. If it boots, apply an overclock if needed. For interconnect compatibility, try 1700 instead of 1800—it should still match RAM slots 2 or 4 for dual-channel use. Good luck!

Sure, let me clarify that for you. It looks like both sticks appear in your BIOS list, which suggests you have 16 gigabytes of RAM installed. If you don’t see that number, you might need to re-seat the memory. Also, check if it boots normally at standard speeds and whether it works without the overclock profile.

I was confident I placed the RAM correctly—A1, A2, B1, B2. Common sense suggested A1 and B1 were the first slots, but that wasn’t right. Looking at the manual with a magnifying glass confirmed my mistake; I switched to A2 and B2 and everything functioned properly. It overclocked successfully and runs stably. I’ll run Memtest86 tonight while sleeping. Thanks for your assistance.
