MODERN COMBAT - Why is the 9700K required for 4K with a RTX card? Why does the 8700K fall short?
What accounts for the need of an i7-9700K processor to achieve 4K Ultra Ray Tracing performance in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, compared to an i7-8700K?
Is this due to the increased instruction processing capability and clock speeds of the newer processor, or because it possesses eight spatial versus six physical and six logical cores?
The following are the game's specifications:
Here’s a revised version:
These performance estimates are likely to be overly generous, as the authors anticipate encountering numerous requests from users claiming they meet minimum requirements but are unable to perform certain tasks. The shift in processor specifications may be influenced by factors such as instruction-per-cycle efficiency and the ratio of cores to threads, though it’s more probable that this adjustment was implemented solely to achieve compatibility with the 2080 Super graphics card.
Manufacturer specifications are frequently inconsistent, so it’s best to wait for independent evaluations to determine your actual requirements.
Here’s a revised version of the text:
These listed specifications represent their estimated requirements for smooth operation, and therefore tend to be overly optimistic – they’re anticipating scenarios where users claim to possess certain hardware configurations but are unable to perform desired tasks. The shift in processor may stem from improvements in Instructions Per Cycle and core-to-thread ratios, though it’s more probable that this adjustment was implemented solely to align with the performance characteristics of the 2080 Super.
That’s correct, that's precisely what I envisioned. My graphics card is a 2080 Ti and my 8700K exhibits superior single-core performance compared to a standard 9700K. They also mentioned a 2700X, an AMD eight-core processor. Perhaps it’s time for an upgrade to eight cores if ray tracing is utilized.
You should be okay. Considering the resolution is set to 4K, the graphics card is handling most of the processing. With your current processor configuration, everything should work smoothly. Please share your experience when you play it.
I'm sure I will be fine however it's possible have a 9900ks will bring significant improvements with 4k and Ray tracing enabled...
Like you said in many 4k Titles better cpu's provided more improvements at lower resolutions however not for this title.
They Specify 4k and ray tracing the full specs are above...
Ultra RTX Specs:
Finally, here are the Ultra RTX specs to run the game at a high FPS in 4K resolution with Ray Tracing:
· Requires DirectX 12 compatible system
I'll let everybody know.
This video demonstrates a method for creating realistic, three-dimensional objects using simple lines and curves. The process involves a series of interconnected shapes, carefully arranged to simulate depth and volume, offering a clever workaround for those without access to sophisticated 3D modeling software.
With more than 100 frames per second on RTX at 4K resolution and nearly all settings maximized, this map represents the highest performance achieved thus far. I experience lower frame rates on other maps.
