The CPU typically uses PWM control and its settings are managed through the CPU temperature sensor. The pump header, on the other hand, delivers more power and isn't usually set to PWM mode by default.

Get HWinfo installed and verify your Vcore value (ignore VID details). Since all motherboards at stock put deliver significant voltage to the CPU which generates heat, consider applying a negative offset of -0.040 or higher depending on the CPU model. Also think about using an LLC regulator.

I own a radiator that matches the 80mm opening I previously used in my TJ07 setup. Cut four mounting points and install a 5 dollar fan for a fast, simple intake solution.

The core was configured for auto scaling. I believe 9900k performs well between 1.3 and 1.4, especially with a capable chip and a 5GHz overclock. I ran a quick 15-minute stress test at 1.32v using realbench, achieving max temps of 92°C with the stock settings. Lowering the voltage caused blue screens—was this a silicon issue or something else?

The most recent bios are available on the Gigabit website. They mention fixing Vcore, though setting a negative offset is still recommended. The 1.3V value you adjusted manually was done by hand.

Stock details indicate a target frequency of 4.7 ghz across all cores, with boosts to 5 ghz for 1 and 2 core configurations (only those cores). Please download HWINFO64 to capture the actual CPU speed during load and keep an eye on the VR VOUT voltage, ensuring it stays within ±2mV accuracy. Avoid triggering a BSOD at stock below 1.32v under any circumstances—this usually means no loadline calibration was applied. Verify your VR VOUT at full load to confirm stability. Your BIOS voltage setting at the time of the crash should be around 1.30v. Consider adjusting it to 1.250v, enabling Turbo CPU VRM switching at 300 kHz, and checking VCCIO, VCCSA, and XMP settings accordingly.

4.7 indeed, not even going to 5.0 on the 1st two cores...here's a print screen of the HWinfo after an quick 15 min stress test. i kind of an noob when it comes to overclocking/voltage tweeking i can't seem to find the the CPU cache multiplier, CPU VRM switching and VCCSA under the bios advanced settings, would it possible to guide me towards it?

Have you secured the cooler again? It seems like a poor or unstable setup. Do you mean tightening it with a screwdriver or using your hands?
