Yes, you can connect a MoCA adapter to a PC even without a wall coax plug. Use an external antenna or a USB-to-coax converter to bridge the signal.

Yeah, you can . But you won't have a MoCA connection... What are you trying to achieve?

I don't want a wired Ethernet link in my space since the router is downstairs and I prefer not to rely on Wi-Fi. Right now I use a Wi-Fi pod connected to my room, running the cable from there to my PC. I enjoy gaming and recently faced some packet loss issues. Would MoCa be a more suitable alternative for me?

MoCA works best when co-ax is already installed. If it's missing or elsewhere, it's okay but might look messy. Just lay out new Ethernet cables and you're good to go.

Instead of running cables, it seems a powerline adapter is the next best choice.

Can you draw a quick and dirty diagram of what you're thinking?

Be cautious about purchasing powerline devices; their performance can be unpredictable. Always verify the seller offers a reliable return policy.

Sure, I can suggest a few options. What kind of model are you looking for?
