Current Build: Mobo: Asus Prime X470-Pro AM4 (BIOS Version: 4008 [04/13/2018]) CPU: AMD Ryzen 2700x Graphics: 1070ti RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32gb DDR4 3200MHz I observed that via my BIOS settings, all four RAM sticks are running at 2133MHz, and my BIOS hasn’t been refreshed recently. What BIOS upgrade should I install to ensure optimal performance? Backstory: This PC was purchased used by a web developer who built it several years ago.

Enable DOCP to ensure your RAM operates at the correct speeds. By default, memory adheres to JEDEC standards (DDR4 runs at 2133, some modules at 2400MHz), while DOCP defines the overclock settings. Reaching 3200MHz is an overclock that works with newer Ryzen chips, though success isn't assured. If it doesn’t succeed, reduce the frequency in the BIOS until the system boots.
