Mobile clip with broken GPU issue...
I recently swapped in an rx6700xt xfx and replaced it with an Asus gtx 1660. I encountered several problems with the new GPU, fixing low frame rates, black screens, and crashes. Most issues seem resolved, though. I tried removing the GPU to check for dirt in the motherboard slot, applying force to the clip and bending it downward. It appears stuck permanently, or perhaps you could remove the clip to address the problem. I’ll share an image of the situation. From behind the GPU, I couldn’t move the other clip either.
Avoid causing harm by keeping the PC stationary while the GPU is connected. Confirm the I/O screws are securely fastened. Alternatively, stabilize the GPU from underneath on the right side using a support. Some users create a 3D scaffold to hold it, while others buy a ready-made solution online. A roommate even uses a Rubik’s cube for this purpose. If stuck, consider powering off the PC completely, flipping the PSU switch, and carefully loosening the clip with long-nose pliers. That’s roughly all you can do without damaging the device.
