Hey there! I’m working on a lightweight version of Windows 8.1 and had a few quick questions: 1) Can it run on a USB 2.0 32GB drive? I’ve heard some doubts about that. 2) Are there other operating systems you could use for testing that you can easily port? I’m curious if Ubuntu is a good fit, especially since I want to check games and drivers from Nvidia and AMD.

It will function well, and I suggest using Windows for testing. Refer to the instructions at: http://www.howtogeek.com/196817/how-to-c...e-edition/

You can use the Windows-To-Go feature on a USB flash drive. However, it may cause significant slowdowns during performance tests. It's better to opt for USB 3.0 drives—they're affordable and offer better speed.
