MMO suggestions? Let's explore options together.
It's a simple question, really. I'm curious about MMOs but have limited experience, so I'm unsure which ones are worth the investment. I'd like something I can play for free long enough to see if it's worth spending money on. Also, I don't want anything related to WoW. I tried it back in 2008 and didn't enjoy it. I downloaded it last year just out of curiosity, but still didn't find anything appealing.
FFXIV is enjoyable. I spent some time playing it. I tend to be someone who gets excited about big things. Still, I think it's worth checking it out.
You can try it for free, but there are options to pay if you prefer.
I found myself wandering through Guild Wars 2 six weeks back, and I’m really enjoying it. The game offers paid expansions, but the main experience remains free. Right now they’re rolling out their potentially first-ever double XP weekend, making it an excellent moment to jump in.
Guild Wars 2 offers a free base version – Black Desert Online requires a one-time payment.
FFXIV offers a free trial with unlimited time, covering up to character level 35. This provides enough time to explore the game and learn its systems. The experience is mainly story-driven with some dungeon runs, though you can also play PvP (levels are standardized). You can also engage in crafting and gathering. If you want to keep playing past the trial limit, a monthly subscription is required.
Began enjoying a few rounds of Guild Wars 2 last night, it doesn’t look like a huge effort, right?
