also the slots aren't really dirty, they're pretty clean, and I even do a good clean too, honestly I think that's true
I suspect a problem with the motherboard, possibly related to BIOS settings. Since the board is a few years old, consider replacing the CMOS battery. Swapping in RAM should be fine, but you might need to skip XMP. To achieve 2600 speed, you may have to set the clocks manually.
Perhaps it's the memory itself, maybe a faulty solder connection. I've experienced memory issues before that needed precise voltage settings. It performed well in older systems lacking dynamic Vcore or boost, which often confused newer designs.
