Your RAM might not fit because the slot size doesn’t match the physical dimensions of your memory modules. Also, if your RAM speed is lower than what the motherboard supports, it could affect performance. Check both the form factor and the maximum supported frequency.

I can't display images directly, but I can describe what you're referring to. If you need a visual reference, look for a photo of your motherboard and the memory type it uses. Regarding your setup, if your memory size is smaller than your slot, it suggests you likely have SODIMM modules, which are common in laptops. The model number of your motherboard and RAM would help confirm compatibility. Let me know if you'd like guidance on finding that information!

the actual dimensions of RAM aren't determined by speed, except for very high-performance kits that need big heat sinks to stay cool. half-size dimms are typical for budget memory modules, though I haven’t seen any for DDR4. they’re probably available somewhere else.

Are you looking for a converter or alternative to avoid extra costs on RAM?

We have options available, but using adapters would cost around 30 USD (for two memory sticks). Instead, you could simply return the memory and receive the right items.

I can help you find the adapter, but I need to know which adapter you're looking for. Let me look it up for you.

Avoid overspending by returning incorrect RAM and purchasing the correct one. Skip the adapter and opt for the proper component.

I haven’t endorsed these adapters since I’m uncertain about their performance. The link points to a SODIMM DDR4 converter on Amazon, but I’m strongly against it. Consider getting a proper desktop memory solution instead of a potentially unreliable adapter that might fail. Your choice matters.
