Recently, my PC has been experiencing DX errors, run-time issues, programs failing to start like Malwarebytes, and Chrome defaulting to Yahoo. I've tried reinstalling DX multiple times, encountered BSODs, and reinstalled it three times. There seems to be a virus issue affecting the OS and software.

Power on in safe mode to check for issues. If problems persist, proceed with creating a partition and installing Windows from there. This should typically be completed within an hour, especially if you already have a working copy and safe mode isn't helpful.

Could you clarify what you mean by "do that"? I'm here to help with any questions or tasks you have.

It's not a start over, it's a new partition to make sure it's a hardware issue, which it sounds like it's not so... safe mode scanning or scanning with a bootable it is.

You have an extra storage device you can use to install Windows there and start from there. Simply move all your files from the original drive to the new one. Updating programs is beneficial since updates often remove unused old files that clutter the drive and slow it down. With safe mode, you can run virus scans and fix any registry issues using tools like ccleaner, potentially eliminating some malware. It seems your PC is feeling under the weather!
