Hello! I see you're setting up the Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU fan. When you're installing, if you notice a missing piece on your motherboard, it's best to check the official documentation or a reliable repair guide. You can also search for community forums or YouTube tutorials that show the exact steps for this model. Let me know if you need help finding resources!

The AMD backplate is the component that detached when you took out the plastic clips.

The four inner openings will form your backplate, while the two side sections rise and fall, with the center facing inward. Secure the sides, then attach the cooler to the central piece.

These openings are entirely vacant, preventing any installation.

Ah yes, that cooler has a different system. I would higly suggest checking the manual, as i would just be repeating what it would say in there. In the manual it shows the shorter metal bracket (with only 2 holes) are the AMD ones, but i think they will need to be accompanied by the AMD spacers to be fit correctly. Here's the manual. All AM4 boards include an AM4 backplate, similar to what @HanZie82 demonstrated. Dark Rock Pro 4 needs this component. Missing it? You can purchase it on Amazon or contact your motherboard supplier. https://www.amazon.com/DGZZI-Backplane-H...516&sr=8-3 If you bought the board new and it's absent, reaching out to the store might help.

Did you remove the backplate before receiving the board, or did it come missing along with the chip? If it wasn't there when you got the board and it was a new one, I'd consider returning it for another unit since the backplate and clips are typically included with AM4 boards.
