While working on the installation, I realized the graphics card was starting to detach prematurely and later found out the locking system had disappeared entirely. I’m not sure if it was damaged or simply vanished without a trace. Concerned about this missing component, I’m now searching for a suitable replacement. Would using a micro center work? My motherboard is an MSI Z59-A Pro.

You could remove the lock mechanism from the unused PCIe port and fit it into the graphics slot.

You'll likely need a GPU brace eventually, whether you go with it or not. I suggest using the pole-style bracket rather than the one attached to your case's PCIe slot. It's not a strict rule, but it works well.
