Missing DSR factors in the Nvidia app and a solution have been identified.
While playing games with an RTX 4080 and a 360Hz display, I couldn't locate DSR Factors in the Nvidia application. After upgrading to an RTX 5000 card, those factors appeared suddenly in the Nvidia app. I had previously noticed that monitors with Display Screen Compression enabled didn’t support Nvidia DSR. This was expected since the RTX 5000 series doesn’t require DSC. However, at my resolution of 1440p, the RTX 4080 needed DSC to reach over 240Hz. Since display port 1.4a limits refresh rates to 240Hz, this made it necessary. When I switched back to the RTX 4080 and turned off DSC, the DSR Factors disappeared automatically. No reboot or app restart was required.
