Uncertain if I'm losing my mind, but whenever I shift the mouse across the desktop, a faint whirring sound comes from somewhere inside the PC, disappears when playing games. Specs: ASUS PRIME B450-PLUS Ryzen 5 3600X Kingston FURY Beast 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz GTX 1070 TURBO Noise.mp4

Hello, The issue might be coil whine or a fan noise. To rule out the second likely cause, attempt to silence each fan individually—press your finger on the middle of the fan—and observe if the sound disappears.

It originates from the top part of the motherboard.

This might match coil whine, but the motherboard could be responsible as well. I’d still recommend removing the fan as a likely cause.

Inspected every single fan—case, graphics, and CPU—none reduced the sound, possibly the power supply is the issue.
