There's no documentation on what this light is. This is on a Tyan s8253 board. The system posts and awaits media, but after 3 mins it screams very loud and this light turns on. This is a new build with just CPU, RAM and onboard video. Using 8x128GB LRDIMMs. Plenty of fans in this system, 2 on each processor and 7 case fans.

LEDs correspond to the value from BMC_HBLED (D33) and ID_LED (D770). Source: https://ftp1.tyan.com/pub/doc/S8253_UG_v1.0b.pdf

I possess the guide, but none of these are marked red; it's a vivid red LED. This component isn't mentioned.

It doesn't matter; after three minutes the board starts to scream and the red LED lights up.

Inspect the hardware monitor for signs of overheating or voltage problems. Your Supermicro only makes noise when overheating occurs.

I have access to the BMC and there is a Sensor section available. I'll explore it; unsure of other options without the OS installed.

While waiting, the LRDIMMs increased their speed from 40c to 81c in a short time. The alarm sounded. Might the memory voltage settings be incorrect? This has never happened before.

The board should be placed in a 2/4U or standard case. Are the fans providing significant airflow around it? Also, do the rams experience strong air movement?

It's an ATX-based system, so I placed it inside a Fractal Torrent case with strong airflow. The flow could be restricted since the dual fans on the Noctua coolers face upward, slightly disrupting the case fans' movement.
