Hello everyone, welcome! I’m new to forums and apologize if I seem uninformed. I recently bought a Samsung SSD 970 and had a WD SSD with Windows installed on it. I’m trying to move the operating system to my new SSD using MTPW 10.0 for a free method. After watching a tutorial on YouTube by Britec09, it was about 46% done, then I restarted and got a message saying "MiniTool Partition Wizard cannot continue," after which it booted back up normally. I’m running Windows 10 with a fresh factory reset. Do any of you have faced similar problems? Are there other tools you recommend?

I’d choose a tool designed for cloning, such as the free Macrium Reflect version. I’ve never experienced any problems with it. I only rely on MTPW for partitioning when necessary.

An alternative would be what was discussed earlier or utilize the Samsung Data Migration tool at https://semiconductor.samsung.com/consum...ort/tools/. Personally, I prefer the hasleo disk clone. https://www.easyuefi.com/disk-clone/disk...-home.html

According to @C2dan88, the setup functioned effectively for me. The drives should be connected directly to the MB, excluding USB drive bays or external USB connections.

Keeping it up with the Samsung Data Migration Tool!!! I applied it to duplicate a Windows 10 system from an SSD to a Samsung Pro NVME drive. It functioned perfectly and it’s completely free!

I attempted to use the Samsung Data Migration Tool but it remained stuck at 0% and closed forcefully. I downloaded the NVME driver to match the current date. I checked the WD drive for problems and everything looked fine. Initially, I assumed the issue was because the source drive wasn't a Samsung product.

I plan to try the Hasleo disk clone because the Samsung Data Migration Tool is consistently closing at 0%.
