Hey everyone, I've been struggling with this decision for a while. I'm thinking of building a NAS server using a MiniPC as the brain, with an old NAS handling just storage and Plex running on it. The main dilemma is choosing between a NUC with an Intel Core i5 1135G7 or an Asus unit with an AMD Ryzen 7 5700U (or even 5500U). While Ryzen offers more power, I'm leaning toward the NUC because Plex will be the only CPU-heavy application. Would having fewer cores but Quick Sync support make it a better fit? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
