Yeah, it's not about my opinion on performance; it's more about keeping the noise down in class or during games. I already have Minecraft on my laptop, and I've got a few laptop fans. Spoiler alert!

Also noted Minecraft isn't available on Steam FML. I prefer gaming on my Atom tablet/laptop hybrid since it’s passive and battery life remains solid during sessions, even though game choices are somewhat limited. Sonic Generations is just a few dollars now and seems fun without requiring much effort. It could be engaging enough to get people excited, though you’d likely need a controller. I’m struggling to find many PC games that don’t demand much time investment and are both portable and easy to store. Perhaps the Torchlight series works better, as it fits mobile or 3DS use. Stardew Valley is another possibility. Edit: Slime Rancher might suit too, though it gets tougher at higher settings; it’s still simple to start and stop and works well with keyboard and mouse.

Yeah, I’m not sure if I’ll actually play games. My OCD kicks in when I hear fans or get warm, and I’m worried something might break. That’s even worse after spending $1,500 on a laptop—no one wants it to fail. But I’m okay with that. Spoiler alert!

I’d worry more if the CPU/GPU overheated without fans increasing speed. MacBooks make a good example. These devices get extremely hot just to keep the fans running. My old HP laptop from 2010 was used for long sessions of rendering and encoding. It was noisy and high-pitched, but it still works today with my sister. In a classroom setting, unless you’re using programs like Blender, people might notice the noise. As long as the cooling system functions well and quickly, there’s minimal chance of harming a laptop while handling heavy tasks.
