Hey! You're still using a solid setup with your i7 4790k and that overbuilt GTX 1080. The 16GB RAM is doing great, staying under 50% even with heavy multitasking. But you're facing some performance hiccups with Warframe at 1440p. It's not hitting the expected frame rates because the CPU and GPU aren't pushing hard enough. You've already tried reinstalling Windows and updating drivers, but it's frustrating. Keep going though—your investment is paying off! Let me know if you need help troubleshooting further. Love you all 😊

Seems like the game has an issue with focus. Are you using full-screen settings? Also, how does it behave when you press Alt+Tab and then return to the game?

It seems the graphics settings might need adjustment. Increasing the visual quality can help, especially under demanding conditions. Your GPU tends to struggle when it's not kept at a high load, leading to lower frame rates. Make sure your system maintains consistent performance without sudden drops.

playing the game inside a borderless windowed setup is because I often switch tabs and use multiple monitors. I’ll attempt to boost the graphics options and give it a try, thanks for the tip!

I attempted to push all settings to their limits, but the CPU usage remains around 30-40 most of the time, occasionally reaching nearly 50%. Despite that, my frame rate stays below 50 FPS. I also tried disabling V-Sync and G-Sync, but it didn’t improve performance either.

Yeah that is quite odd then. My friend has a 4790k/1080 as well and it doesn't bottleneck really at all so I know that's not the issue here. What are your temperatures like on both you CPU/GPU and are you overclocked at all?

Same issues occur with my Ryzen 5 1600 at 3.9 GHz and GTX 1080. The GPU becomes the limiting factor, especially in Fortnite regardless of settings or resolution. I previously bought a Ryzen thinking it would support 144fps, but performance remains around 120-150fps at 1080p. If you want more stable frames near 144fps for higher refresh rates, consider upgrading to a 4GHz model.
