I usually use Windows but I’m planning to switch to OS X for a project. I’m curious about whether performance would improve in Premiere when running on OS X versus Windows. I’d only consider it if there’s a noticeable boost of 2-3% or more.

You might want to consider upgrading your PC instead of trying to boost performance by installing OSX.

I'm not aiming for a performance boost. I mentioned it's needed only for one program, and it would be helpful if it improved Premiere's speed. Everyone wants better performance, right? I could upgrade to a new PC for more power, but that's not what I'm focusing on here—it's just about getting the extra help I need. My current machine is an i7 3770, which is decent but getting older.

If you're not using an SSD, consider installing Windows on it. It's significantly quicker than a standard HDD.

It varies based on your approach to modifying the system. It wasn't the simplest process, and it took me around two weeks to get everything functioning properly. The performance differences between Windows and OS X for content creation tools aren't significant, especially since I'm using OS X-only software. That should be enough justification.

If it's not macOS, you should easily find a good Windows option instead of dealing with OS X unless you really need it.

Thank you. Yes, I intend to use exclusive software, specifically Logic Pro X.

2-3% is acceptable for your weekly video rendering time. This amount provides a solid balance, though it may not be the highest. If possible, it would be beneficial to utilize it more effectively.
